UB researchers detect California variants of the coronavirus in WNY
Scientists have found evidence of two more transmissible variants of the SARS-CoV-2 strain in samples of Western New Yorkers who tested positive for Covid-19. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the virus is 20% more transmitsible than the disease.
