FAO first Africa digital map of land discovers 7 billion trees Quartz Africa

As Africa becomes the first continent in the world to complete its digital land-use data, new revelations emerged about its trees outside of key forests in Africa. The BBC’s Africa correspondent Stephanie Hegarty looks at how the continent is affected by deforestation.
