Cyber breaches : Corporate data dreams live on despite digital storms
The Australian government has announced new privacy laws which would force companies to purge customers personal data and stop hoarding a treasure trove of customer data.The maximum penalty for serious or repeated breaches will rise from $2.2 million to $50 million.
