UN General Assembly hears call for worldwide pandemic warning system
Scientists have urged the United Nations to dismantle essential infectious disease surveillance programmes in the fight against climate change, in a bid to tackle the spread of the virus and other diseases during the coronavirus pandemic, which threatens public health.
