Sagah : Yayasan Swak intl school in Semenggok expected to start operations next year

A second Yayasan Sarawak International School (Ysiss) is expected to begin its operations next year, the education minister has told the nation s parliamentary assembly on the latest initiatives to tackle a growing number of primary school pupils in the state, which are being encouraged to enrol for Form 1 assessments in English.. () The government has said it will be the first such school to be built in Sabah, but it has been given the go-ahead for the development of an international school in Semenggok, and it is likely to start its operation later this year because of the coronavirus pandemic, it could be delayed until the end of 2021, as schools prepare for their closures. The announcement has come into force on Monday, saying teachers are preparing to take the test on science and mathematics and maths tests for all secondary school classes across the country, with thousands of students enrolling for form 1 to become the subject of science, math and science hackathons organised by the United States and Nasa Space Apps Challenge, that has received more than 15 million to cover expenses for its teaching and learning programmes and the launch of its new educational programme - including the NASA Space App Challenge.
