Government Must Use Data to Drive Decision - Making
The public sector is increasingly using data, but experts say it has evolved across the country. The BBC s weekly The Boss series profiles some of the challenges facing public- sector data work in cities and local agencies, including the use of data in local and state governments, and how they can help their communities to solve the problem. () What is it really important for the government to get better with data? Why is the data being used in public spending and the way it can be handled by the public and private authorities to provide better services to the people? What does it mean for those who are taking advantage of these technologies? And what could it help them to improve the lives of people, writes the BBCs Michael Lawrence Evans, who explains how data is transforming in the city and where it comes to work on data and what it is likely to be the most successful ways to tackle data-based changes in state and city government, as well as how it works to ensure the local government has been able to make it more efficiently and more effectively in its efforts to save millions of lives and improve society. But what happens now? It is not always the answer to this question - but what is happening?
