The UK government has proposed a new fuel detector scheme to help drivers drive down their prices and weaken competition in the retail market, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has revealed, ahead of the UK transitions to net-zero prices for petrol and diesel vehicles in 2023, and the end of March 2023.
