The National Institute of Statistics (INE) has launched Guatemala’s first National Survey on Quality of Life and Household Well-being to capture essential data on citizens’ living conditions. This initiative prioritizes women’s experiences, aiming to generate a comprehensive statistical baseline for societal well-being. Participating citizens provide confidential information about their daily lives, enabling the state to map and understand household realities across the country. The two-month data collection phase ensures representative insights from selected households. These findings are crucial for designing effective public policies. The survey highlights the value of open data in empowering institutions to craft evidence-based interventions that improve national quality of life, demonstrating how transparent statistical efforts drive social progress.
