New partnership to foster data exchange across disciplines and borders

A leading European research group has joined forces in a major project to provide access to data that adhere to basic principles of findability, interoperability and reusability (fair) rules. But what is it likely to be the latest phase of the EU s data-sharing initiatives, and why are the two entities working together. () The BBC looks at how their efforts are being taken to help scientists from around the world to share data, including the European Open Science Cloud (Eosc-Future) project which aims to create an infrastructure for storing, managing, analysing and reusing research data in Europe and other areas of Europe - and how they can be shared with other researchers? Why is the data society increasingly struggling to find adequate and reliable data and what could be used in the future? The UK government has announced it is taking part in an ambitious effort to tackle these challenges, writes the BBC Newsnight presenter Larry Madowo, who has been involved in research across Europe, as he describes what it calls the world-wide cluster project, but what has happened when it comes to the research community of climate research?
