Saudi Aramco has announced plans to develop a series of new technologies to tackle greenhouse gas emissions across its assets by 2040, as part of the Middle Easts largest climate summit. These projects are expected to be completed in October and January, according to the UAE government s official announcement on the day ahead of Climate Week. But How could these projects mean the world is going to become the first country to achieve net-zero levels of carbon dioxide reduction in the Gulf of Saudi Arabia, it has been revealed by the company. The latest steps are under way for the Saudi company to launch two major projects to help avoid the effects of CO2 - including cutting carbon from fossil fuels and harnessing renewable electricity sources and use in energy-efficient ways to deal with the industry.
