Argentina’s National Electoral Directorate has launched the Electoral Open Data Catalog, a significant step forward in transparency and public information management. Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of democracy, the catalog centralizes electoral results from 2011 through the most recent PASO (Primary, Open, Simultaneous, and Obligatory) elections, ensuring that citizens and the academic community can access data that was previously available but not standardized in a uniform format. The catalog is structured around three fundamental pillars: disaggregated data by voting booth, technical preservation standards with naming conventions, and documentation for programmatic access via API.
