Deforestation : Accelerating climate change and threatening biodiversity
Forests are a key part of the worlds sustainable development programme, which aims to tackle land degradation and climate change. The SDG 15 has been announced by the UN in Geneva, with the aim of reducing the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
