Secretaría de Salud debe informar sobre casos de violencia obstétrica en hospitales: INAI

The National Institute for Transparency, Access to Information and Personal Data Protection (INAI) ordered the Ministry of Health to publish the awards issued by the National Commission of Medical Arbitration that confirm cases of obstetric violence, as well as statistics on rulings against doctors and hospitals. This resolution aims to bring visibility to a form of violence that affects a significant proportion of women in Mexico, which has been socially normalized. By demanding the dissemination of this data, the transparency authority establishes that transparency is a fundamental tool for updating the women’s rights agenda and combating patriarchal practices in healthcare.
