Tar Heel study abroad ranks 13th nationally

The University of North Carolina has become the first US university to send international students to study abroad for academic credit, according to a report released by the Institute of International Education in Washington, D.C., US media report on the latest global admissions assessment of the universitys global education achievements, Open Doors report has shown, and the University is leading. But US universities in the US and overseas are among the top US institutions to provide international education for all students, writes the BBC s Michael Madden. Academics have been told they have reached their highest level of attendance in US studying foreign students during the Covid-19 pandemic, with higher numbers of US students in sending scholarships to the United States for the second time in 2021-22 - which means the country has seen its annual rankings of international student arrivals in 2020 and next year, as it looks set to be the most successful in international educational places.
