This dynamic reflects a corporate culture that prioritizes cost reduction over safety, resulting in outdated equipment and inadequate training, making the lack of protection a direct consequence of the pursuit of economic benefits above the well-being of the workforce. The current model of External Prevention Services also contributes to the problem, as aggressive competition has driven market prices to levels that only allow for formalistic compliance with regulations, without offering real and thorough prevention. The overload of technicians and the lack of quality in these services prevent effective supervision. From an open data perspective, this article highlights the critical need for transparency in the management of these services and the availability of open data on working conditions, as only through access to verifiable information can the real effectiveness of safety measures be audited and accountability demanded from administrations and companies.
