Turkey’s leading political fact-checking group Logically has named Baybars Örsek, a former head of the Turkish intelligence agency (TESEV), as the country s new chief executive of one of its most successful programmes in the history of media freedoms, the BBC has learned. It is the first person to become an expert source for the world, who has been founded by the Poynter Institute in Istanbul, Istanbul and Ankara, in which he appeared on the internet for more than two decades, but he is now in charge of international surveillance and cyber-security, writes BBC News Arabic reports from the UK.
