NSF , Simons Foundation Launch 2 AI Institutes for Astronomy

The U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Simons Foundation are funding two new institutes to build advanced astronomical tools using artificial intelligence (AI). These institutes, part of the NSF-led National Artificial Intelligence Research Institutes program, aim to harness AI s capabilities to accelerate humanity s understanding of the universe.
