Paraguay has consolidated its positioning in the global statistical landscape through active participation in the sessions of the United Nations Statistical Commission. The national strategy focuses on technological innovation and international collaboration to finance and improve data systems. The development of digital platforms, such as the *Clearing House*, aims to optimize the connection between data providers and requesting institutions, facilitating access to resources and promoting the sustainability of national statistics in the face of contemporary challenges. The integration of alternative data sources and a focus on social equity emerge as cross-cutting pillars of the country’s statistical policy. By exploring the potential of mobile data for public policy and adhering to global initiatives such as “The Power of Data,” Paraguay prioritizes data disaggregation. This approach ensures that no population group is left out, guaranteeing that decision-making is based on a comprehensive and fair understanding of social reality, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. The relevance of this article to *open_data* lies in the model of interoperability and transparency being promoted. The creation of systems such as the Water Information System illustrates how the standardization of protocols and collaboration among multiple actors strengthen the availability and quality of open data. This practice not only improves accountability but also demonstrates that free and innovative access to information is essential for addressing complex issues such as multidimensional poverty and natural resource management.
