The Chihuahuan Youth Institute has launched a statewide award to recognize young people aged 12 to 29 for their excellence in academic, artistic, social, and environmental initiatives. This program highlights diverse achievements while encouraging broader societal participation through formal recognition and financial incentives. Winners receive monetary awards and official honors, with additional honorary mentions in each category. The selection process requires documented evidence of past contributions and adheres to strict eligibility criteria, excluding previous winners to promote inclusivity and showcase fresh talent across various fields. This initiative is relevant to open data as it demonstrates how public institutions can transparently share selection criteria, submission guidelines, and information about past awardees. By making these processes and historical records accessible online, the institute promotes government transparency and enables the public to analyze trends in youth recognition and engagement.
