Maryland Council on Open Data could soon make GIS nerds very happy
Maryland’s newly-formed Council on Open Data (GIS) is looking to bring legislation that would guarantee online access to GIS mapping data is free to the public.The bill could replace a legislative holdover from 1992, which allowed the state to recoup costs of operating digital maps.
