The Government of Navarre has officially designated the units responsible for accessing public information within its departments, in compliance with transparency regulations. These units will operate under coordination and manage citizens’ requests for data, ensuring that the right of access is exercised within the appropriate timeframes and procedures. This step consolidates the administrative structure necessary to guarantee that anyone, without having to provide justification, can access public documents generated by the administration or by entities providing public services. Transparency is implemented through the Open Government Portal, where much of this information is already published, and both electronic and in-person mechanisms are provided for requesting data. Requests are processed by the designated units, which coordinate their actions with the electronic records management system. This structure aims to eliminate bureaucratic barriers, enabling society to access relevant information about public management, except in exceptional cases related to security or the protection of personal data. This measure is significant for open data because it establishes the key institutional infrastructure for accountability and citizen collaboration. By clearly defining who manages information and ensuring its accessibility, it fosters the creation of open data ecosystems that enable independent oversight, civic innovation, and trust in institutions. The renewal of the Interdepartmental Commission ensures continuous oversight, aligning the administration with the principles of open government and facilitating the interoperability of public information.
