Open Data: Empowering Citizens While Navigating Privacy and Usability Challenges
Open data gives people direct access to raw information. This helps users in the “consideration stage” of decision-making. However, it also brings big challenges. These include privacy risks and difficulty using the data.

By applying these standards, individuals can reduce the risks of misinformation and privacy breaches. This proactive approach maximizes the benefits of open data while minimizing its downsides.
